Born on 1969 at Haifa Israel, Itay Ken-tor is a filmmaker, film teacher and lecturer based in Pardes Hana, Israel.

Mr. Ken-Tor graduated with honors from the Film Studies program at Tel- Aviv University in 2000, and has since been producing and directing documentary films.

Between 2000 and 2010, Itay worked for Belfilms, one of Israel’s leading production houses; from 2007 to 2010 he served as its managing producer.

Itay's films have been broadcast worldwide and won awards in numerous international film festivals such as  Sundance, Hotdocs, Jerusalem Film Festival, Silverdocs, Shanghai and many other festival as well as nominations for the Emmy and the Grimme, and the Israeli film academy awards.

Ken Tor was a member of the Documentary film Forum and the Israeli film Academy managing boards for several years. He Is A lecturer in The Open University and head of the film studies in Emek Harud.
